Aiming High: Featured in The Maritime [EDIT]
I’m a little late writing about this one.
Back in the summer of 2024, I was featured in The Maritime [EDIT] in a six-page profile called “Aiming High.” I’ve wanted to share the story here for a while, but somehow never got around to it.
So, better late than never.

The feature gave me a chance to talk about my photography, how I got started, and how my work has evolved over the years. It was pretty special to see my photographs and my story presented across six pages of a magazine that celebrates the people, places and creative work happening throughout Atlantic Canada.
There’s something different about seeing your work presented as a feature. I’ve seen my photography reproduced in print before, including in magazines, but this was the first time I had six pages devoted to my photography, my story and my journey. Seeing it all come together in one feature was a pretty special experience.
An interesting issue to be part of
The Summer 2024 issue also featured some other people and projects that caught my attention.
Akadi Lumina was featured on the cover, which was a nice touch for me as a fan of the project. It's a great example of the creative experiences happening here in New Brunswick.
The issue also featured Ian Hanomansing, which made for a particularly interesting coincidence. In 2023, some of my photography and drone footage had been featured on CBC's The Moment, a segment hosted by Ian on CBC's flagship news program The National. So, a year later, we ended up appearing in the same magazine issue. Small world!
A big thank you
Most of all, I want to thank James Mullinger for noticing my work and giving me the spotlight in his awesome magazine.
It's one thing to share photographs online and hope that people see them. It's another when someone takes the time to notice your work and thinks there's a story worth telling. I'm grateful that James did.
Looking back at the feature now, I'm still proud to have been included. It was a great experience, and one I'm happy to finally share here.
