5 Photography Podcasts You Should Listen To

Updated: Jan 13, 2020

Lately, I’ve really gotten into listening to photography #podcasts. They’re a great source of inspiration, and is also a way to learn how some of the world’s best photographers think, what methods they use to do their craft, and how they can make their businesses work.

Here are 5 photography podcasts that I've been enjoying a lot as of late, and that I highly recommend :

Picturing Success

UPDATE: I was featured on this show! Check out this post for more info.

Together, Rick Sammon and Larry Becker bring a ton of experience and knowledge to this podcast. The discussions touch on various topics. Very interesting and insightful, and packed with Rick's famous "Sammonisms", which I can't get enough of!

The Landscape Photography Podcast

This is Nick Page's podcast. Nick is a landscape photographer (obviously) and a popular YouTuber as well. Nick also runs a Facebook group for his podcast listeners, where great discussions often take place. Tune in to this one for great conversations with some of the best photographers in the world.

Behind The Shot

This podcast is really interesting because in every episode, the host Steve Brazill (a great music photographer, by the way) chooses one photo and interviews its creator to fully understand the thinking and reasoning behind the shot (what settings were used and why, how did they come up with the idea, etc.)

LensWork

Brooks Jensen, the editor of LensWork Publishing, shares his thoughts wisdom in this fantastic podcast. No guests on this podcast, it's just Brooks speaking his mind and providing his insights. Very interesting stuff, and definitely great food for thought.

The Candid Frame

This podcast, hosted by Ibarionex Perello, consists of long interviews with great well known as well as new and upcoming photographers. The discussions are always interesting and sometimes, and provides an insight into the lives of these great photographers. Also, as a bonus, that bass line at the start of the podcast is super groovy!

There are so many other podcasts that I could add... perhaps I will eventually make a sequel post to this one!
