Semipalmated Sandpipers
Every year in August, thousands of semipalmated sandpipers stop by the the Upper Bay of Fundy (home of the World’s highest tides), as they prepare for their 3-day non-stop flight to South America. As soon as the tide recedes and the mud flats start to be exposed, the shorebirds feed on mud shrimp. In a period of about 2-3 weeks, the sandpipers will double their weight, and get the energy they require in order to make their non-stop flight to South America. All images on this

Sigma ART Series Wide Angle Lenses
For months, I’ve been thinking about getting myself a better quality wide angle lens, but I've had a hard time deciding which model to get. Weighing in the pros and cons, seems like several models end up in a tie for #1. There are many styles of photography that I like to use a wide angle for, but I'm mostly interested in Landscape. That being said, I'm also looking for something I can use for other purposes, such as astrophotography, live concerts, or environmental portraits
